Industry owned and led, SEMTA aims to improve productivity and competitiveness within its sectors, by developing skills levels in the workforce.

Our role is to ensure the sector has the right people with the right skills, in the right place and the right time. To achieve this, SEMTA works with employers throughout the sector to:

• understand skills needs and the training required to meet them.
• influence key stakeholders in the delivery networks to align training provision with the priority needs of the sector
• and where there are skills gaps, SEMTA acts as a catalyst to ensure solutions are found and embedded within the national education and training infrastructure.
